That Gory Animated Movie Conclusion That Stays With Viewers

Among all the mature cartoon movies I’ve personally watched, nothing has remained with me as much as the fear-filled conclusion of the explicitly bloody and deeply subversive film from 2022 The Unicorn Wars.

Back in the year 2015, this Spain-based filmmaker created a grim, bleak and often savage world that included a few small , desolate glimmers of hope.

While The Unicorn Wars appears as it came from a drive to push animation further, the director stated that it was more an attempt to convey a universal, multicultural message concerning “the common origin of every conflict.”

This theme is expressed by means of a group of vividly colored bears , clearly inspired by a famous series of cuddly characters.

Maturing in a society focused on warmongering and the war machine, many of the bears are fixated on exterminating unicorns, because of a holy book which states the bears they previously were masters of the woodland, before these creatures forced them out.

Some have not completely fallen for the brainwashing, , prefer to try out narcotics and fornicate outdoors.

In contrast to their gentle equivalents, these bright beings show genitals , obvious urges.

For a certain especially vicious, pessimistic creature, Bluey, the conflict with unicorns transforms into a path to power — and particularly to authority over his gentler, nicer brother the bear Tubby.

This bear acts as a tormentor , a seeming sociopath , and when terror takes over his unit and kills his fellow soldiers individually, he takes increasingly power on his own behalf, through ever more gory, harmful methods.

At the same time, the horned creatures are enduring their own horror, as an expanding, deadly beast in their forest.

“Initially, it feels like a lighthearted film,” the director stated. “Yet it evolves into a more dramatic and melancholic film. And by the end, it’s a horror film.”

Unicorn Wars starts out resembling one of the most whimsical movies by an iconic filmmaker, that uncover a mischievous joy in allowing animated figures swear, engage in violence, or have intimate relations.

Then it becomes something more like a bleaker work from that creator, including ever more explicit brutality and a tangible link to genuine horror of battle.

Ultimately, it is a full-on Grand Guignol massacre.

The fear that makes this a Halloween-friendly movie starts a lot earlier than indicated.

Unicorn Wars is one for the hardcore fans of gore, for enthusiasts of graphic films who want to watch a film they have not viewed until now, and are able to withstand a story which delivers unflinching brutality.

View it in a dark room with no disturbances, and the conclusion will burrow under your skin and stay with you.
