The Renowned Musician Calls On Public Help to Get Palestinian Solidarity Song to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A charity drive is aiming to send a traditional song from Palestine to the top of the UK charts. The campaign hopes to deliver assistance to Gaza's residents while also showcasing Palestinian culture and creativity.

An Opportunity for Unity and an "Chart Upset"

Composer and producer Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the single 'Lullaby' represents a chance to show solidarity with Palestinians this festive season. He acknowledged the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be fantastic if that happened, yes,” he commented. “I’m not gonna be completely disheartened if it doesn’t, festive releases are a thing unto themselves.”

Resilient Spirit of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the reimagining of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's resilient spirit.

“It occupies a deeply meaningful spot for a lot of people,” Barghouti said. “It’s basically saying that I would choose to perish with honor than live a life without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we desire to exist a life of dignity that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Production History and Star-Studded Lineup

The single was laid down in the wake of a large-scale benefit event held in late summer. Originally intended to be captured during the live event, the piece was shelved during the concert due to time constraints.

The diverse array of artists featured on Lullaby includes a selection of acclaimed names from the industry. All participated in the earlier concert, which successfully generated a considerable total for humanitarian aid.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was produced by a team of talented individuals. The track showcases a mix of the traditional Arabic lyrics with freshly written English words.

The group managing the campaign have clarified that their goal is to collect the highest amount for a dedicated fund. These resources will be channeled to Palestinian causes through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“We don’t have a rigid aim,” a representative commented. “We will pursue whatever we can get. Obviously, the more the merrier. Every penny goes out to the people of Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was described as its widespread damage, with a huge proportion of infrastructure said to be levelled or seriously harmed.

“Given that reality, a couple of million is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think the significant factor is first of all spreading knowledge of this plight and demonstrating the human dimension of the story.”

The song is launching this Friday. Additionally, a video of the solidarity show will be made accessible to view on a digital service from the 19th of December.
